    Margaux Masson-Forsythe is passionate about applying technology to make a positive impact. As the Director of Machine Learning at Surgical Data Science Collective (SDSC), her work involves leading research focused on utilizing video data from surgeries to develop tools to provide surgeons with relevant feedback and insights on their performance. Some of her past projects include developing spatially explicit models for risk assessment, computer vision models for automatic tree measurements, and generative adversarial networks for visual simulation of reforestation. Her professional interests involve deep learning, computer vision, software engineering, product development, image processing, science writing, and advocacy for diversity in STEM. In her free time, she likes to hike, climb, travel, work on photography/short movie projects, and spend time with her family and friends.
